Scripture Read Psalms 45-47

Nugget Psalm 47:1-4

“Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with loud songs of joy. For the LORD, the Most High is awesome, a great king over all the earth. He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves.”

Devotional Thought: “He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom he loves.” God establishes the way He desires we go; His choice is for His people to be in relationship with Him. His choice is that we choose to move in that heritage. That heritage is the perfection of the original creation; His desire is that we choose to live in that Kingdom, the Kingdom of God with Him, as He created it to be. God is a gentlemen, He will not force us to choose what He desires. Those who do – rejoice, they clap their hands and sing loud joyous songs to our awesome God. Those who don’t – God continues to pursue, never giving up. Give in to God’s pursuit, choose to move with God, in the heritage God established.
