Scripture Read Isaiah 34-39

Nugget Isaiah 38:16-20

“O Lord, by these things people live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh, restore me to health and make me live! Surely it was for my welfare that I had great bitterness; but you have held back my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back. For Sheol cannot thank you, death cannot praise you; those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness. The living, the living, they thank you, as I do this day; fathers make known to children your faithfulness. The LORD will save me, and we will sing to stringed instruments all the days of our lives, at the house of the LORD.

Devotional thought: Where do I/you/we seek restoration? From whom do ask? We all we go through times of struggle, whether illness, or a crisis of faith, or a downturn in business, or a b=fractured/broken relationship. All of these are life-sucking events; they kill us a little bit. But the Lord can and will save us. There is life with God and it is the living that praise God with thanksgiving. By our praise and thanksgiving in worship others know if we are alive with God. Love God, love others, be holy for the Lord your God is holy! Worship Him with praise and Thanksgiving!
